Many claim that Blackjack is child’s play. Many people have made this conclusion on the basis that it is a simple game where cards just have to be added up to reach the nearest total to which is 21 or better yet an Ace and a Face Card which will result in an automatic canadian blackjack. It may indeed sound simple, but it really gets more elementary if looked upon closely. Ever think of who you are playing against?

In any game, there can be 2 to 4 players on the table. The player that is not usually counted by some is the dealer. The dealer is really the only opponent you have to worry about. It is like a 4 on 1 situation wherein the dealer has to make sure that he always gets an upper hand over the players.

Hence, a player just has to monitor what the cards of the dealer are. Forget about the player seated beside you, he has his own worries in the game and his total would not affect your current standing. It is always the players against the dealer and nothing else.

In most instances, any player will have a chance. The only safe way for a dealer to win it all is to have a blackjack. The same goes to the players as well. If they luckily get a blackjack, then they are automatically the winner and get 1.5 of their initial bet. Now it does look like child’s play but then again, pray that the gambling gods are smiling on you always!
