As part of the Sentient Soil exhibition, the Konschthal is inviting you to a conversation between the artist Vera Kox with Lisa Robertson, author of the text for her new monograph and Charlotte Masse, co-curator of the exhibition, at the Konschthal.

This conference is being held in the framework of the Luxembourg Art Week (22 - 24.11.2024)

In this two-day workshop, you will learn how to prepare good clay for making ceramic objects. The goal of this course is to impart technical knowledge about preparing clay from local sources and to provide a deeper understanding of the significance of local materials in art. You will not only learn how to process and prepare clay but also how to use this material to create sculptural ceramic objects.

In diesem Workshop haben Sie die Möglichkeit, Ihre eigenen Tassen/Gefäße herzustellen. Der Kurs richtet sich an alle, die unabhängig von ihren Vorkenntnissen die Grundlagen des keramischen Gestaltens mit der Gießtechnik erlernen möchten. Im kreativen Prozess werden Sie mit den Grundlagen des Gießens von Ton/Porzellan vertraut gemacht und lernen, wie Sie Ihre Ideen in einzigartige Keramikobjekte umsetzen können.

La Konschthal à Esch accueille Joëlle Swanet, artiste et professeure de technologie à La Cambre, afin d'animer une conférence sur les défis en matière de santé et d'environnement dans la pratique céramique. Engagée depuis plus de 20 ans dans cette démarche, elle est reconnue pour son rôle de lançeuse d'alerte. Son intervention situera la façon de pratiquer la céramique aujourd'hui dans un contexte historique et social et dévoilera clairement les zones de risque et les enjeux.
